Canada’s Triotech has launched a “new breed” of interactive dark ride in partnership with Italian attractions specialist Zamperla.
The company’s new iDR has been designed to immerse players in an experience that combines advanced interactive technology with the thrills and speed of a cart crafted by Zamperla for the attraction.
The iDR moves players through a series of interactive stations with large-scale curved screens in a competition for the highest score during motion ride adventures produced exclusively by Triotech.
"We are thrilled to announce the partnership with Zamperla," said Ernest Yale president and CEO of Triotech. "With our new interactive dark ride, we want to raise the bar in dark ride experiences and bring the ‘wow factor’ to major amusement parks and operators. This attraction will deliver incredible value for money to operators and unique ride experience to guests. Overall, the quality of the interactivity, motion, the ride content and immersion will be unmatched."
The two companies now plan to announce further agreements in the future.
“Working in an ever changing global marketplace, we have found a great demand for an interactive 3D dark ride, Triotech is a leader in developing these advanced technologies. Together we will be able to meet the demands of our clients and continue being the leader in the amusement industry,” said Alberto Zamperla, CEO of Zamperla.
