The four-player shooter now has a third chapter for players to blast their way through after the first two saw Lara Croft and her team shipwrecked on a mysterious island, then get captured by the inhabitants, forcing players to help Croft in the escape of her stricken friends.

The new chapter sees a helicopter crash with Croft’s friend Roth killed, further firefights, abductions, Sun Goddesses, cultists, and human sacrifices across five sections.

Along with the previous 10 across the earlier chapters, the 15 sections offer around an hour of gameplay on the cabinet’s 120ins screen and has been suitably well received by operators. Rich Pankey of US operator the Family Entertainment Group said: "Tomb Raider is a visually impressive piece that is also substantive in size. Beautiful graphics and entertaining gameplay make it a great addition that compliments any FEC line up. And of course the folks at Adrenaline, Jeff and Francois, are a pleasure to deal with. The four-player Tomb Raider we have at our Sawgrass Mills location easily ranks within the top five videos in the room."
