Major Asia-Pacific operator Timezone is capitalising on its recent momentum in the Vietnamese FEC market by preparing to open its eighth and largest location in the country.

Having successfully launched seven venues in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi’s high profile shopping malls, such as Aeon Mall Tan Phu, Estella Place and Vincom Centre Metropolis, the brand is looking forward to opening the doors in the Aeon Mall Ha Dong in November.

This biggest Timezone venue thus far in Vietnam, the location promises to have a larger variety of games, including a full-sized RDC bumper car ring, a party room and a social bowling alley among other attractions.

Timezone’s arrival in Vietnam has, the company says, signalled a revolution in the indoor entertainment industry there with “best-in-class store design, high-tech international games, friendly Timezone Fun Squad and a whole new positioning of family entertainment centres.” All of its locations offer its Tap ‘N’ Play Powercards, another first for FECs in the country.

“TEEG, together with joint venture partner VIG are deeply committed to investing in the Vietnam market with its Timezone and Play ‘N’ Learn concepts,” said Sonaal Chopra, group CEO at TEEG. “The joint venture partnership is transforming the entertainment landscape, bringing world-class family fun to Vietnam.”

Timezone is a major brand for The Entertainment and Education Group, which is jointly owned by Quadrant Private Equity and the LAI Group. TEEG operates over 300 family entertainment centres across the Asia-Pacific region and has its headquarters in Singapore.
