Dublin was a good show for GeWeTe, the big Gauselmann Group money handling subsidiary. The Irish trade show (March 6-7) reports managing director Aristidis Tsikouras, offered solutions for the most mixed-use applications for which Ireland is noted.
The Cash Recycler, with its bulk coin-in, coin-out, banknote breaking and ticket applications, was obviously very popular. So were the cashless solutions, recognizing the tastes and habits of younger people. This was also catered for by the Cash Recycler.
Perhaps most popular of all in Ireland is the ticket redemption solution, the Cash Centre Compact – Casino. The 15in touchscreen and applications that covered coins, notes, cards, barcode scanning and thermal printer, proved very adaptable.
Said Mark Edmunson, who handles the UK and Ireland for GeWeTe: “The show gave us the chance to put all our products in front of operators, including the amusement change machines that will break notes into coins or tokens. We proved we can cover all the bases.”
