There is a plan in place to turn a historic lawn in York, UK, into a themed mini-golf course.

Mini-golf

The lawn, located between York’s central library and the Roman Multangular Tower, will be treated with respect.

Included in the mini-golf course will be holes themed around Roman, Anglian, Viking, Norman and Georgian areas of York.

The course has been planned and propelled by local friends and entrepreneurs David Finch and Helen Birkett.

Finch, aware some people may be concerned about heritage conservation, told the the York Press: "We're not serial mini-golf entrepreneurs, we're just local people that have come up with an idea.

“This isn't going to be big, brash and gaudy. In fact, we hope that it will be something that inspires people to want to discover more about the city.”
