The Global Draw, based in the UK, has extended its contract to be the sole supplier of gaming machines to the Better network of high street betting shops until 2011.

The manufacturer currently supplies server-based gaming solutions to all 42 Better shops, which incorporate dual touchscreen terminals and contain B2 and B3 content.

In addition to this the Enfield branch is supplied with the Global Plus system, offering a programme of scheduled fixed odds betting events such as greyhounds, bingo and poker and displays them on dedicated screens every five minutes for customers to bet on.

Better is one of the fastest growing bookmakers in the UK and offers customers a full betting service, including high street shops, telephone betting, plus online poker and casino.

Commenting on the arrangement with The Global Draw, Conleth Byrne of Better said: “Machines account for a significant amount of income for modern betting shops. It is important to have a supplier which can offer quality, high performing games as well as a reliable service.”

The Global Draw currently has more than 12,000 terminals operating in 3,300 UK outlets.
