The country of contrasts

Belgium playing the waiting game.

Twelve months ago, all the talk in the Belgian industry was of the possibility of fresh legislation in early 2018; a tour of the country in late April yielded nothing beyond a little tidying of taxes in the Flemish region.

Belgium must therefore wait a little longer for the revisions that the industry seeks, notably a wish - strange as it may seem - for additional regulation.
