The small German towns of Lübbecke and Espelkamp are the focus of European coin machine attention today as two years of preparation come to fruition and the Gauselmann Group celebrates its 60th anniversary.

The group has extensive factory installations in both of the North Rhine Westphalia towns and employs thousands of people there. Today’s events include a series of tours for different groups of guests culminating in a grand banquet in a tented village erected in a field adjacent to the factory. Two thousand five hundred of the industry’s leading people are gathering for the event.

Tomorrow night the same village will host another 2,500 people – the staff and their families. And on Sunday evening the same number again will be entertained, this time the people of the surrounding area. A full-sized fairground has been brought in to entertain the families.
