Tennessee operation debuts Virtuix’s Omni Arena

The Rockin’ Raceway entertainment complex is Face Amusement’s 14th site across five states and also features go-kart racing and over 150 modern arcade games.

Using motion technology, the four-player system allows guests to experience running in virtual reality. With a 375sq.ft footprint, the system includes a built-in staging area with eight seats, 11 TVs, 11 touchscreens and recorded gameplay video allowing customers to share their experience on social media. Players have the option of four games, ranging from co-operative, arena-style shooters to player-vs-player deathmatch games.

“We are eager to bring a new level of amusement to the classic environment of Rockin’ Raceway,” said Bucky Mabe, CEO of Face Amusement.

Jan Goetgeluk, CEO of Virtuix, said: “This is the first-of-its-kind arena in Tennessee and we’re sponsoring a $50,000 prize pool for players to come compete against teams around the world.”

In a recent survey of 1,100 players, 40 per cent reported they had come to the venue specifically to play Omni Arena.
