Vancouver-based Loop Insights has applied for patents on its contact tracing applications for entertainment venues.
The patent applications, together with trade mark registration, apply to its contactless data.
It said its venue tracing platform is unique in that it needs no app download and only a tap of the user’s device to check-in for protection and alerts.
The company’s SmarTap device is installed at multiple points to log every individual that enters a venue and venue staff can then quickly identify individuals who were in proximity to any infected person for follow-up testing.
