TAB riding high in Italy

TAB Austria is experiencing success in the Italian market alongside its partner Norditalia Ricambi, famous for its pool and foosball tables.

TAB’s Silverball touchscreen terminal is already well established in the country and Norditalia is now expanding the reach of the MaxFire digital jukebox and Fun4Four multiplayer game. “Our products fit in well with the product range of Norditalia, providing a wide portfolio of non-gambling equipment,” said TAB managing director Siegfried Dattl.

Despite all the investment going into VLTs and AWPs, Dattle does not feel that the amusement industry in Italy has suffered as a result. “I don’t think that amusements have been hit by the VLTs and Comma 6 games,” he told InterGame.

“On the contrary, the Italian amusement industry is very healthy. If you have the proper solutions you will always be able to bring people together to play games in social situations.”
