Tenpin bowling supplier Switch International has used the lockdown to its best advantage.

Making the most of its new factory in Izmir, Turkey, the company has streamlined its manufacturing and logistics departments in a more efficient and productive layout, making daily workflow run smoothly.

“The new space, decked out with the latest technology and new manufacturing stations, will allow us to have an excellent headquarters for many years to come as Switch continues to grow,” said chief communications officer Cynthia Winterhalter in a Christmas message to customers.

“The changes have given us the opportunity to self-manufacture certain materials that were previously supplied by outside sources, giving us an even better handle on quality control.”

Having completed the investments in manufacturing, the coming year will see both cost and quality advantages, particularly for laminates and plastic parts as well as certain machine parts. The company’s obsession with quality will be matched by a new drive to achieve modern, technologically advanced and eye-catching equipment.

First of this new strain of high-quality products is the Switch Ball Return, more durable and practical in build but retaining its original modern and unique design.

“Our engineers have improved on the ball rack as well as the power and functionality of the integrated fan," said Winterhalter.

Next up is the reimagined Switch Bowlers Console, a sleek and assertive design with a sturdy, impact-resistant material. And following the success of the new black equipment, it is now part of the standard colour offering, even including black lanes.

A Switch billiards table, a custom-designed coffee table and high ball rack tables have all been added to the product offerings in the lockdown.
