The Super Shuffle sport skill game from Arachnid, which was launched in Europe in January 2010, has already won two prestigious awards, the AMOA Innovator of the Year Award and then the Best in Show at Amusement Expo.

It is a new concept game combining ‘real’ with ‘virtual’. The players slide a (patented) puck down a wooden lane that continues on screen and appears 22ft long (6.5m). The actual machine measures less than 6ft long.

There are actually seven different games for up to eight players. Included are a curling type game called Knock Off and recently added are 10 Pin Puck Bowling and Speed Bowling. It has a wi-fi connection to a server for league, championship and remote play.

"Sales to date have been exceptional and machines have gone to both European destinations as well as the Middle East," said Adrian Buckley of Diana Marketing, the European distributor. "This alone supports our view that the amusement industry was ripe for a new sports game."
