The traditional North London Open Day - effectively neighbouring distributors Electrocoin and UDC throwing open their doors to visitors - managed to find a break in the UK’s appalling weather of the past two weeks yesterday.

Always a gamble against the elements, this year the fortunes favoured the two companies with just one day of sunshine as they displayed a range of latest equipment from their own distribution lines and from a scattering of outside companies seizing the opportunity to present their wares.
John Stergides and his team were on hand at Electrocoin to entertain operators from all over the UK to a barbecue, while next door the UDC staff led by Derek Horwood gave the alternative later in the day of traditional afternoon tea.
Both Stergides and Horwood reported that the current state of the UK market, particularly in the coastal arcades, was holding up reasonably well. They were joined by a scattering of non-UK visitors, particularly from Italy and the US.
