The year has been "catastrophic’" for the FEC business, says equipment supplier Alpha-Omega in the US.
In its latest Redemption and FEC Report, the company says that a survey of operations showed that in the Midwest of the US, March saw sales down 62 per cent, April 100 per cent, May 97 per cent, June 85 per cent and July 84.5 per cent.
In the south-east, revenues since reopening in mid-June through to mid-August, were down 29.7 per cent. In the south, they were down 87.3 per cent; the north-east showed various operators reporting total revenues of $700k down to just $40k. In the south-west, arcades were showing revenues at 22 per cent of normal.
