It’s been a busy week for the producer of retro arcade cabinets for the home market, Arcade1Up.

Earlier this week we had news on the distribution of its Pac Man and Galaga machines for the UK market, then that it had released a four-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and a Marvel Super Hero collection at the E3 show in Las Vegas.
This reveal was trumped when it pulled the ceremonial dust-sheet off its version of Atari’s 80s classic, Star Wars. The upright cabinet features the iconic X-Wing pilot controller and is the only at-home replica that uses the original arcade software.
Bundled with Star Wars, the cabinet also contains the significantly more rare follow-up, The Empire Strikes Back and the third game in the series, Return of the Jedi.
Star Wars is expected to be available in November this year.
The company has also released two cocktail cabinets. The Capcom Head-to-Head Cocktail Table with 12 Capcom arcade classics includes Street Fighter II, Final Fight and DarkStalkers. Arcade1Up’s social media feed also revealed that SFII will be played on a split screen to accommodate the cabinet physics.
A Namco version of the cocktail cabinet comes with eight games. The original title is on board with others including Pac-Land, Pac-Man Plus, Galaga and Dig-Dug. Both tables are coming “later this year.”
