Sportloto, a division of Russian lottery operator Russkoye Loto, has signed a contract to become the 2014 Olympics lottery operator.

According to the contract, the Olympic lottery operator is issued a seven-year licence to develop, launch and operate two real-time draw lotteries and 10 instant lotteries through a sales network to support funding necessary for Sochi 2014 Games. The target sales generated is over RR30.6bn and it is thought Russia’s largest state-owned bank may join the project as a partner.
