The opening of a major theme park in Spain has been delayed by eight months due to the pandemic.

The Rincón de la Victoria Dinosaur and Zip Line Theme Park, close to Malaga, has a budget of €3.6m, but its time-scale commitments have fallen foul of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Developer Paalwing Park had four months to present the building works project after signing an agreement with the Axarquian Council in early August 2019. From that point it had 20 months to build the first phase. It should, therefore, have been open by the end of 2021, but this has now been extended by nearly a year through the virus.
In return for a royalty of €747,175, the town council has granted a lease on two sectors of Parque Victoria for the park over a period of 25 years.
Initially, a dinosaur enclosure with 35 model dinosaurs, half of which will be animated, will be built and the zip lines will follow in the second phase. Overall, the project will not be completed until 2025.
This week the developer, Paalwin Park SL confirmed its intention to continue with the development despite the delay.
