Technology, as we all know, has moved on at an eye-watering pace over the last decade. You only have to look at some of the most successful businesses of the moment to see where the money is. The dotcoms are everywhere and today’s customers are a lot more savvy and demanding. This is as true in south-east Asia as it is anywhere else. Revenues from the south-east Asia consumer games market have been predicted to reach over U$2bn this year and mobile gaming revenues could exceed U$7bn by 2019, according to some industry observers. The region is touted as one of the hottest for games developers too, with gaming giant Ubisoft opening a new Philippines office recently.
