One of the world's most revolutionary amusement and entertainment complexes is set to partially open during the DEAL trade show in Dubai in April.

MAF Leisure, the operating company which runs some of the Middle East’s most iconic FECs under the Magic Planet brand, will open parts of its new development at Mirdif City Centre, built by its MAF parent.

Six leisure experiences will be integrated within Playnation. At one of the giant shopping malls, now in course of fitting out following its basic construction, will be Aquaplay, a self-contained indoor theme park of rides, games and edutainment facilities for families, all based on water experiences.

At the other end of the mall the 11th Magic Planet will open, next door to the iFly Dubai, sky diving centre, first in the GCC countries (Gulf Co-operation Council). The other components of Playnation will be the Cite’ des Enfants, an edutainment concept designed to help children aged two to seven to explore and develop through interactive learning, and Soccer Circus and Team Zone, a separate attraction for football fans. Finally there is Yalla!, 12-lane tenpin bowling centre and lounge, fitted by Brunswick.

A formal opening of the entire project when completed, probably during the summer, will follow. Initially it is expected that Aquaplay and part of Magic Planet will be ready to open their doors on or about the dates of DEAL.
