Monday saw the opening of the first real snow FEC in Egypt by Saudi operator Al Othaim Leisure and Tourism Company.
Snow City is at the Citystars Mall in Cairo, attended by the Saudi ambassador to Egypt, Sir Osama Noqaly. It is the fifth major leisure venue to open under the Al Othaim brand.
Snow City is an E£500m (US$30m) investment with 60,000sq.ft of entertainment.
Most of the Al Othaim senior management was at the opening, including Abdullah Saleh Al Othaim, chairman and Fahad Abdullah Al Othaim, vice chairman and CEO, plus the board of directors and many of the group’s managers from the region.
Snow City Cairo is the second under the brand, the other is in the Al Othaim Mall in Rabwa, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
