The opening of Snow Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates is drawing closer.

The developers have not released an opening date, but continue to stick to an estimate of late 2020.
The park is to be themed around an enchanted forest and according to the builders, it will be the world’s largest snow park and will cost around US$1.2bn at the Reem Mall project on Reem Island. It is being developed by a partnership between Al Farwaniya Property Developers, Majid Al Futtaim Ventures and Thinkwell.
The park will cover 125,000sq.ft, divided into several zones. A constant temperature of minus two degrees will keep the 500mm of snow covering in its proper state, permitting all snow-related pastimes and challenges.
The zones within the park will consist of Snowflake Garden with ice labyrinths, snowball fighting and other games; Crystal Carousel, an ornate carved carousel featuring the animals of the Enchanted Forest; Flurries’ Mountain, a peak that will form the central feature of the park; The Enchanted Tree, a venue for a range of activities; and Blizzard’s Bazaar, the retail outlet.
