Despite months of news headlines depicting high unemployment figures ITL is struggling to find people with the required skills to fill these vacancies. The company’s plight was the focus of a Granada Reports (a local TV news programme) employment special feature earlier this year and did lead to some new appointments, but the company still has a number of vacancies to fill in software, technical support and electronics, as well as looking for physicists and mathematicians.

Some of these jobs can be found on the new jobs section of the InterGame website and full details of all Innovative Technology’s current vacancies can be found on-line at www.innovative-technology.co.uk/careers

Innovative Technology is currently running summer placement to allow young people to gain work experience and an understanding of the skills needed to work in industry.

Carole Harker, recruitment manager, said: “Throughout the summer we have had nine young people gaining work experience at our head office in Oldham. We hope the summer placements will encourage the students to study relevant subjects to pursue careers in industry.

“It is becoming increasingly difficult to recruit talented engineers with a thorough understanding of their subject. We believe these bright students are the future for our business. We are delighted with the students and look forward to offering summer placements in 2013.”
