The UK shuffleboard chain London Shuffle has opened a new site, Crazy Eight, in Shoreditch, which will also offer cocktails and pizzas.
The Ebor Street site has an atmospheric basement that has been converted into a welcoming lounge with panelled walls, polished concrete floors and on-trend neon lighting.
This game simply involves two teams of players sliding weighted pucks along super smooth tables with the aim of landing them in the scoring zone at the other end. Shufflers can choose to play on either of the two classic 18ft tables or the two snapback tables - a square version of the game where the puck is rebounded off a back bar to land in the scoring zone.
The site said it has invested in well-trained mixologists to prepare the cocktails. From golden rums to fruity vodkas, lavender infused gins to coffee and tequila specials, the cocktail menu, it said, is stimulating. A range of spirits, mocktails, premium beers and ciders are also on offer.
The 60 person capacity underground venue is available for private hire as well as walk-ins.
