First introduced at IAAPA 2010, Sega's new prize vending game, Key Master, is returning "impressive earnings and reliable performance" from test sites across the US.

Known traditionally for its video games and equipment for FECs and location-based entertainment centres, Key Master represent a break from this tradition for Sega, with president and COO Paul Williams saying: "Key Master is the type of street piece US operators have been asking us to make for years."

Since IAAPA, Sega has tested the product in two cinema locations - one in the midwest and one on the west coast. "The earnings have been nothing short of spectacular," said senior sales representative Tom Keil. "We’ve seen earnings in excess of $900 per week in theatre locations at a time when there’s no big movies in release - a time when theatre locations traditionally earn at their lowest levels of the year."
