Sega reported a positive experience at the fifth Atrax show in Istanbul, Turkey from December 1-3 and said the market is likely to grow.
Martin Riley, international sales manager for Sega, said that Turkey is a very big market “that hasn’t reached it potential yet. There is still a lot of growth to be done here and redemption in particular is coming on in leaps and bounds.”
Nergis Aslan, general manager of the company that organises Atrax, said: “Along with the changes in the national agenda in Turkey, the attraction-recreations sector continues to preserve its significance. It is well known that mainly municipalities as well as shopping malls, hotels, housing estate companies and investors are working on new projects.”
It was the first time that Sega’s Daytona 3 Championship USA was shown outside of the US and through the company’s three distributors in the region, Balo Fun Lab, Trio Games Group and Meridyen, “the game received a lot of interest,” said Riley. Also on show at the Sega booth was the company’s distribution partner ICE’s Zombie Snatcher.
