The restructuring of the Sega group in Japan will not impact Sega Amusements International, says CEO Paul Williams.

The Japanese parent company is restructuring as a result of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, but it will not affect the sales forces in the UK and US. “We are continuing to develop new games, in association with our colleagues in Japan,” said Williams (pictured).

The sale of the Sega arcades operation in Japan to Genda, will mean that around 200 venues will change hands although Sega will retain a minority of the shares in the operating side of the business.
