Taking pride of place on Sega’s stand at EAG in the UK were the products the company released at the US's IAAPA show in November, including Pirate Falls, Maze Escape and Hoopla.

But Wheel of Fortune was the big new release for the company. With the pull of a lever the player spins its huge wheel, every spin adds a letter to the puzzle and redeems the player with tickets – once “Wheel of Fortune Mega Win” is completely spelt out the player can scoop the bonus ticket reward. The player is helped along by an interactive host and voice over prompts while they attempt to do this.
ICE, with which Sega manufactured Hoopla, the carnival-style ring-toss game, also had its Zombie Snatcher redemption game on Sega’s stand.
Several of Sega’s skill wall attractions, such as Bean Bag Toss, Down the Clown, Ice Ball FX and Milk Jug Toss populated the booth, as well as classics like the company’s theatre shooter, Target Bravo: Operation Ghost and its kiddie ride, Let’s Go Island.
Assuming that basketball games are going to make a comeback this year, it had a host of its own contenders, including NBA Hoops and Sonic Basketball, around which the tallest man in Britain and tallest basketball player in the world, Paul Sturgess was stationed on the first day of the show, taking pictures with visitors and shooting hoops on the first day of the show.
Sega’s games section was joined by its parts and services division, Sega Total Solutions, while its licensed plush and prizes supplier, Sega Prize International, exhibited its latest products. This included its new Only Fools and Horses and Jojo Siwa based offerings.
