Sega launched several new products, at the ASI show, held in Las Vegas last week.

Pigs Might Fly, which has been developed in conjunction with Gamewax, is a new video ticket redemption game, which sees the player try and hit the mothership for the jackpot number of tickets. Anything else hit sees various levels of tickets won.

According to the company’s Paul Williams, there had been massive interest in the product from visitors to the show, particularly as there are not that many video redemption products out there that are a success.

The cabinet has been designed to suit the needs of the operator as it is quite narrow, taking up a small amount of footspace, but it is tall enough to stand out from the crowd.

Commenting on the US market and the ASI show in particular, Williams told InterGame: "Compared with last year’s show, which was terrible, it has been a lot better than we anticipated. It’s not the busiest of shows but the buyers are here, which is the main thing.

"Back in September, FEC operators stopped buying but we’ve heard that it hasn’t been as bad a time as many of them anticipated."

This, according to Williams, could be due to the packages and deals that have been introduced by many locations as the operators are still "having to fight for business."
