The first roller coaster at sea is close to completion. Carnival Cruise Line’s new Mardi Gras is being constructed at the Meyer Turku ship yard in Turku, Finland, and is scheduled for launch in February, 2021.

Mardi Gras

Nearly 800ft of suspended track for Bolt, the roller coaster, has been installed, encircling the upper decks and offering guests an exhilarating ride with dips and drops and breath-taking ocean views 187 above the water line.

The ship will have 2,600 cabins including 180 suites. It is due to enter service on February 6 from Port Canaveral’s new Terminal 3.
