Robotic bar tenders and ‘holodecks’ will be among the offering at Sandbox VR, which recently opened several locations in the US and is coming to the UK.
According to VR website VR Focus, Sandbox is a recovering bankrupt that is now back “in the black.” Its expansion in the US is now going to be matched across the Atlantic, where a franchised Sandbox will be opened in London. It will then open a string of them across the UK, taking in Birmingham and Manchester.
Holodecks are the VR rooms, and the London venue will have the robotic bar tenders to enhance the futuristic theme of the location.
Currently there are 14 Sandbox VR locations worldwide, including Hong Kong and Singapore, Macau and Shanghai, plus two in Canada and the rest in the US.
