US FEC chain Main Event is holding a special Beat Saber weekend promotion to celebrate the nationwide roll-out of the LBVR title.

From August 31 to September 2, guests can enjoy a free play through of the game while also experiencing other themed promotions.
All 43 of Main Event’s locations will be running the event during the Labor Day weekend, where visitors will be able to play the award-winning VR rhythm game in which players slash the beats of adrenaline-pumping music as they fly toward them.
The game includes several songs and five levels of difficulty that sees players use VR motion controllers to wield a pair of lightsabers to slash the corresponding blocks.
“We don’t know if we can officially change the name of this weekend from Labor Day to ‘Saber Day,’ but inside Main Event centres this weekend, our guests are certainly in for an experience with Beat Saber,” said Sarah Beddoe, chief brand officer at Main Event. “We are constantly pushing innovative ways to treat our guests to experiences they can’t get anywhere else, and by being the first family entertainment centre in the country to introduce Beat Saber, we think we’ve done just that.”
To celebrate the game’s debut during “Saber Day weekend,” the FEC chain is also revealing a special Beat Saber Icee made with a mix of blue raspberry and cherry flavours.
Main Event’s VR line-up also features LAI’s Virtual Rabbids: The Big Ride and Hologate.
