The Russian market is still very much project driven, according to LAI Games’ Steve Bryant.

Speaking with InterGame at the recent RAAPA show in Moscow, he said: “Redemption areas within shopping centres are continuing to grow in popularity across Russia and where LAI succeeds is in the European products we provide at Asian prices. Even some of our older catalogue continues to sell well for us in Russia.
“It is going to be interesting to see how the market moves forward when business begins to slow down. We will see if the operators re-invest in their locations, updating their product lines and looking after current models. We have already seen some customers asking for spares, which is a positive sign.”
Commenting on the RAAPA show, Bryant added: “This has been a very productive market for me and I have had time to sit down with the customers I have here. I see similarities with IAAPA in Florida as there is a good mix of different products for the different areas of the business.”
