A US$97m make-over of another vessel in cruise operator Royal Caribbean’s fleet is to be complete by the end of the year and will include several amusement industry contributions.

The Voyager of the Seas will become the fourth ship to be refitted as part of Royal Caribbean’s Royal Amplified modernisation programme.
Two waterslides, the Typhoon and the Cyclone, will form the Perfect Storm attraction, while a FlowRider surf simulator is set to add another aquatic activity to the ship’s roster.
Battle for Planet Z will see guests enjoy laser tag in a glow-in-the-dark arena and a rock-climbing wall and mini-golf course will complete the new additions to the liner, which will embark on its maiden, post-refurb voyage on October 21.
