A device that will combat all types of viruses using UVC LED technology has been launched by DOF Robotics, a company with 10 years’ experience in VR and AR amusements rides development.
The Robocare Autonomous Disinfection Robot has technology six times stronger than florescent UV light and will kill 99.9 per cent of viruses – including Covid-19.
The robot is seen as an ideal product for the gradually reopening entertainment industry and will help arcades, FECs and attractions to prevent the spread of any infectious disease. It uses proven UV-C LED light and is 100 per cent autonomous, safe and reliable and can be operated by everyday cleaning staff.
When the power is low, the robot will self-navigate to its charging station and operates for eight hours on a single charge. It is equipped with multiple sensors so that it can avoid all physical obstacles without interruption.
The advantages, says the company, are that it will bring safety, reliability and the elimination of human error and at the same time show significant labour savings.
Designed for hospitals, schools, airports, hotels, factories and shopping malls, its possibilities in FECs, arcades and attractions are obvious.
