Triangle Amusements has carried out a £1.8m upgrade to the Britannia Pier in Great Yarmouth, UK, which was formally opened by the town’s mayor at the weekend.

A new FEC and fresh façade feature in the work that has been done on the pier and another phase begins later in the year, providing new food outlets and a cabin.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, by Mayor Carl Annison, was viewed by large crowds. It is hoped that the upgrade will enable the venue to be opened year-round.
Cherise Abbott, co-owner, is quoted in local media: “We are pleased with the turnout and the kind words spoken about the project. The improvements that we have made can keep it open all year and we hope it will have a positive knock-on effect for the town.”
