Austrian-based company Wettpunkt celebrated its newly refurbished casino in Zagreb on November 21 with a gala event that featured entertainment from Croatian performers Colonia and Kemal Monteno, among others.

Located in Branimir Centre, the casino, which was first opened in 2004, remained open for business during its four-month renovation, an investment worth almost €1m. Six roulette tables, a betting service and more than 200 machines - including slot games from Novomatic and Aristocrat - can now be found among new, luxurious furnishings and an interior design that was inspired by Picasso.

Wettpunkt’s business developer Emilian Truta said on the night: "We wanted to refurbish the casino to give it a nicer atmosphere.

"The opening night and entertainment is a way of saying thanks to the customers and giving something back to them," he continued.

The company’s second casino in Croatia, which was opened in 2006, is located on the coast in Rijeka.
