It is not hard to see why redemption is often described as the arcade industry’s foundation.
As a format, it has not changed drastically in the last 30-odd years. Money is put in the machine, tickets come out and these are exchanged for a prize - straightforward and to the point. But on that bedrock of simplicity has evolved countless machines ranging in every way imaginable, from massive cranes to slim machines designed to fill in those gaps between larger games.
