Redemption important in South America

Redemption is continuing to play an important role in the South American amusement market, according to Sega Amusements' Tom Keil.

While the market is currently performing well and is continuing to grow, the continent’s economy remains heavily dependant on the US and there are still major issues around taxes, which can sometimes be as high as 100 per cent for imported games.

Keil did, however, tell InterGame that the market remains extremely relevant and many new arcades are popping up in new malls everywhere.
