Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya Investment Company’s plans for the gigantic project near Riyadh – a huge entertainment and leisure destination – have been announced.

The master plan for the 334sq.km site 45 km south of Riyadh has five development areas: the Resort Core, City Centre, Eco Core, Motion Core and the Gold and Residential Neighbourhood.
Resort Core is retail, dining and entertainment and will include a 15 hectare outdoor venue, all opening in 2022 and to include Six Flags Qiddiya and a water sports area. City Centre will have sports venues, with a stadium, indoor arena and an aquatic centre. There will also be shopping, restaurants, schools, a hospital and a ‘high street’.
The Eco Core will have a golf course and outdoor sports centre. The Motion Core will run live events and the Golf and Residential Neighbourhood will have a golf course, hotels and housing.
