The availability of relatively inexpensive commercial property is helping to drive growth within the US FEC business, it has been suggested.

In an interview with InterGame, Bob Boals, executive vice president of Betson Enterprises, explained that his company is experiencing an increase in FEC business.

“We basically have constant installations in new FEC openings,” he said. “A big part of that is that the cost of commercial realty has dropped drastically over the last few years. The recession has meant that there are a lot of ‘big box’ retailers that have gone out.”

These properties fit well within the FEC model, he said, adding that as a result the company has seen a lot of growth in this sector.
