All of Germany’s estimated 8,000 arcades now require that players show proof of full vaccination in order to enter, under federal laws.

Testing in Germany

The amusement industry – and casinos – have to comply with the regulations that cover leisure facilities and non-essential shops; proof of vaccination and accompanying ID.

Alternatively, players have to be able to show they have already had the virus and subsequently tested negative.

In some arcades in some of the 16 federal states, or "länder," there are facilities for testing inside the premises.

The rules are expected to be revised next month.
