Visitors to this month's EAS show, being held at the Olympia in London at the end of the month, will be treated to a new after-show networking party organised by UK coin-op companies.

Organised by IAAPA, the EAS takes place from September 27-29 and is set to welcome over 8,000 professional buyers from the parks and attractions industries. The networking event will take place from 6.15pm until late on Tuesday, September 27, at the Hand and Flower pub opposite London Olympia.

Those wishing to attend should collect an invitation during the show from any one of the following company stands: AMG Leisure, Bandai Namco Europe, Crown Direct, Electrocoin, Embed Playsafe, Harry Levy Amusements, JNC Sales and Sega Amusements.

As well as plenty of networking opportunities there will also be plenty of new product on show for visitors to cast their eye over. UK-based distributor UDC was one of the first coin-op amusement companies to secure its space at the show and its stand will feature top performing and new game titles side by side.

Trap Door and Monster Drop from Benchmark will be on show, along with the Count Dracula reel-based ticket redemption game from Eurotek, first shown at the EAG in January. UDC also revealed it would be showing two new products from Universal Space - the Crystal Ball redemption game and Cup & Saucer, a two-seat children’s ride. Existing product from Adrenaline Amusements - TouchFX - and UDC’s own Tickety Boo crane will also be on the stand.

For Sega Amusements’ Justin Burke, the focus of its EAS stand will be on the attractions industry, with the only video on show taking the form of Operation Ghost, Sega’s new two-player video shooter. Following on from the success of Ghost Squad and Ghost Squad Evo, Operation Ghost will be presented in a 42ins cabinet, with a deluxe 56ins version available soon, and features LED lighting around the screen to grab the attention of the player.

Quad Air, Sideshow and Treasure Quest, along with other redemption titles, will also be shown to the attractions and parks industry for the very first time, as will ICE Games’ latest ‘Mega’ version of Deal or No Deal, which features a Wheel of Fortune inspired wheel that sits on the top of the game and is spun by the player in a bonus round for the chance to win extra tickets.

Sega’s prize division will also have a presence at the show presenting its top-performing product range Victoria Cupcakes, which is currently selling extremely well across Europe, and there will also be representation from Sega Japan’s location and attraction division, which has worked on locations including Sega Republic. Following the recent collaboration with QubicaAMF, there will be cross promotion of the two brands and their products on both stands.

For Embed Playsafe, as redemption continues to show significant growth for FEC operators in the UK, many are turning more of their floor area over to this part of the business. Also, with a greater number of machines now being included in the location mix and increased activity on play as well as higher volumes in prize redemption, operators are now looking to improve the entire redemption experience for their customers.

Embed Playsafe wants to be involved with operators making the move into redemption and the EAS show is the ideal time to meet and discuss any requirements operators might have, David Stenning told InterGame. With this in mind the Redemption Pro stock management system from Embed Playsafe will be shown at EAS along with all other products, including the Embed cashless system for amusement machines.

Other EAS product previews from the coin-op amusement industry will appear in forthcoming online news items from InterGame.
