Organisers of the UK Preview 2011 show have confirmed this year's event will take place in the Chablis Suite only at the Novotel Hammersmith, London.

As a result of the ongoing financial climate Philip and Ylva Howard have opted to revise their plans for the forthcoming exhibition, which last year took place in the Champagne suite on the first floor.

By moving the exhibition to the Chablis Suite on the ground floor, the organisers have been able to bring the cost down per square metre, with the option for exhibitors to upgrade if they wish.

In this week’s Coinslot (weekly UK trade newspaper), Philip Howard is reported as saying: "We have been under pressure to look at the cost of exhibiting at Preview. Because of an existing contract we could not make these changes last year. But we feel this is a solution that will help companies with limited budgets in these testing times.

"By removing some of the frills involved in creating the stands, we can reduce the price. The Chablis Suite has limited space, however, so we do urge companies to book early to avoid disappointment."

This news comes just a few weeks after Crown Direct, one of the UK’s largest distributors, decided to pull out of this year’s Preview show due to ongoing challenging climate conditions.

Preview 2011 will take place at the Hammersmith Novotel on October 20 and 21.
