The giant PortAventura World theme park resort just outside of Barcelona, Spain, is to reopen to the public on July 8, with a programme of health and safety procedures to herald a late, but welcome, start to a 2020 season.

Temperature checks, face masks, social distancing, sanitation points and an initial capacity of just 30% will be key points to the safety measures. There are also enhancements to contactless payment options
Both the PortAventura Park and its adjoining Ferrari Land wil be open, together with their shops and hotels.
It will be the 25th anniversary of the complex, points out Arturo Mas-Sardá, chairman. “PortAventura World is an exceptional place due to its location in a Mediterranean enclave; its unique offering; the quality of its services and its commitment to people, the surrounding area and society,” he said.
