Building on its strong relationship with Cartoon Network, plush manufacturer PMS will release a new Powerpuff Girls line early next year, which it predicts will be a big seller.

The company will produce separate lines for amusement and retail. “The retail version is just a little more luxurious and a bit more high quality,” said Martin Onderdonck, export sales executive.

“As well as Powerpuff Girls we have also been using the Adventure Time and Regular Show licences from Cartoon Network and those have been very good for us and we want to carry on in this direction.”

Powerpuff Girls was recently re-launched on Cartoon Network, 20 years after it originally aired, inspiring PMS to invest in the plush.

In the company’s generic plush line, Onderdonck predicted that flamingos, mermaids and pineapples will be strong next year.

“But unicorns and emojis will keep going as well, they are showing no signs of slowing down,” he added.
