Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Ice Blast ride will be "reimagined" and rebranded to reopen for the 2025 season as Launch Pad.

The tower ride, over 200ft tall, catapaults riders at speeds of up to 80 mph and was closed for this year’s season while work takes place.
The work on the ride has been concerned with new theming, but also it now has a new pressure cylinder to alter the experience, firing riders into the sky at even greater force.
Amanda Thompson, Pleasure Beach CEO, has gone on record as reiterating her plans to evolve and renew the park’s rides. “The new era of Launch Pad is only the first and we’re looking forward to everything the future holds at Pleasure Beach Resort.”
When it originally opened in 1997, the ride was called PlayStation: The Ride and was the first tower ride in the country. Its name was changed in 2000 to Ice Blast.
