The final part of Rugged Interactive’s series of trampoline park insight focuses on the all important birthday party market.

An international survey conducted by leisure and fitness company Rugged Interactive showed that birthday parties were considered to be the most important revenue stream for 75 per cent of trampoline parks.

While all trampoline parks and FECs usually run parties as a standard part of their offer, the research carried out by Rugged emphasised just how important they are: over 50 per cent of the parks surveyed considered parties to be an “actual differentiator” for their business.

Simon Heap, co-director of Rugged Interactive, said: “Birthday parties are a crucial revenue generator, as they offer consistent income, they’re far less weather-dependent than walk-in trade as they are paid for in advance, and they bring in new customers (the other party guests).  Parks who run excellent parties often see multiple subsequent bookings from one party.”

However, during their research, Rugged Interactive found that many parks don’t dedicate particular attractions or activities to groups, thereby risking underwhelming this all-important revenue stream.

Heap found that the most successful parks offer dedicated group activities as part of each party.  These should be truly interactive and promote participation across the board, regardless of ability or confidence.

Rugged Interactive’s products have been key for many of the trampoline parks they surveyed, with the DodgeAttack and Trailblazer systems being particularly suited to use by parties.

It’s a market not to be missed!
