Divided into two main sections, one half of the exhibition will feature attractions for amusement parks, while the other section will focus on amusement equipment and services for the arcade and FEC sector.

There are over 220 shopping malls in Metro Manila and more than 110 in the rest of the country. Ten new shopping malls are currently under construction and several more are having their facilities upgraded to include retail-tainment attractions, according to organiser, Singapore-based HQ Bizlink International.

“The Philippines will continue to be the fastest growing economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, despite some stabilisation of investment growth,” said David Chow, president of HQ Bizlink. He cited statistics that show that 84 per cent of the Philippine population is under 49 years old. “It’s a country with a youthful population and with the economy there growing stronger, households are spending more on recreation and cultural activities,” he said. Exhibitors from 10 countries are participating in the event including cashless solutions providers Intercard, Semnox and Sacoa.

A seminar programme is planned for the event while entry to PAExpo2019 is free.
