The most successful arcade video game of all time is the subject of Dan Snook’s second retro focus.
IN the short time I researched this feature (as I already know a fair amount about the subject, being a huge geek) it quickly became apparent that I could rattle on for at least five pages about Namco’s favourite son. But then not everyone is quite as nerdy as I am, so I’ll keep it mercifully shorter.
That said, it’s not just the fact that I could give Scott Pilgrim (more of him later) a run for his money, it’s that the dot hungry, jaundiced protagonist has become something of a pop-culture idol. Actually, they’re officially called Pac-dots. Nerd alert.
